A prayer for the Pope

O God, the Shepherd and Ruler of all the faithful, look propitiously upon Thy servant, Benedict XVI, whom Thou hast been pleased to constitute pastor over Thy Church; grant him, we beseech Thee, that he may govern with advantage those over whom he presides, in word and example, that, together with the flock entrusted to him, he may come to life everlasting.
